I’m Doug Dodson, the hands behind Dodson Woodworks. My journey with woodworking began in Arkansas, where I discovered the satisfaction of shaping raw wood into something lasting and meaningful. What started as simple projects became a lifelong passion for building pieces that blend beauty, comfort, and purpose.

Over the years, I’ve crafted everything from kitchen tools and cutting boards to furniture, home accents, and unique custom builds. Each project challenges me to see what others may overlook — and to bring out the hidden character within every piece of wood.

Now based in Defiance, Ohio, I carry forward that same dedication every time I step into the shop. For me, woodworking isn’t just about creating an object — it’s about crafting something that belongs. Every board, every curve, and every detail is guided by patience, precision, and care.
